Let's get this party started - The Hive is alive

It is always a bit scary for me to introduce myself to a new group, that's why you'll always find me in the kitchen at parties. Everyone else seems to know each other and I am left on my tod hoping that someone will ask where the cork screw is so I can enter into some sort of conversation. This will break the ice for me and I can start to chillax.

But here I am at a new party and there are many familiar faces all into the same sort of music, ready to bop along. There will be, I'm sure those that I have never had the pleasure of speaking to before but they are a friend of a friend and I know they will be at least have some shared interests.

So hello World, I am here and ready to party. I've been invited because the other party sucked. The self proclaimed DJ started playing a requiem and it was fast running out of alcohol. Someone said they had a free house and so we upped sticks and moved.

What I bring to this party is a cheap bottle of wine from Lidl and my art work. I am sure at the start there will be much talk about how great the party is and yes I may even do some of that too but I am more comfortable sharing what I have to share, a sip of my wine and my work. I'll never be the center of the party although I can spin a yarn or two.

Someone will ask, 'What do you do for a living?' and I will say I make Sand sculptures in the summer and in the winter I switch to working with snow and Ice. 'You get paid for that?' Well, when there is no plague doing the rounds I do. I'll open up more and probably talk about some of my film projects if I haven't bored them already.

I'll show some pictures of my work and as I get a bit more tipsy tell a stories or two.
I'm sure some numbers will be exchanged and i'll direct them to my Blog where I am on a mission to document every one of my Ephemeral art works. As the new dawn rises I will be asked 'Do you have no home to go to?'

I'm sure there will be some that get drunk and rowdy. Wanting to make the party all about them. They can go and sleep it off. For now they are ruining the buzz can listen to them later when they've sobered up

For now, lets get this party started, I'm sure it will it's going to be legendary. So happy to be part of it and one of the first in the door.
