Buzzing
Exciting times to be sure. There is certainly a buzz around the Steemit news.
Is it from happy pollination or have we disturbed a hornet's nest?
I see there are already many accusatory posts about what people did and didn't do. Perspectives always vary greatly, particularly, in our easily triggered, polarised world.
For a platform that doesn't have "history", only being a few years old, it sure feels like we are looking at attrocities of the Inquisition.
It's certainly entertaining & very refreshing that people can dialogue, monologue, gestate & spectate - such is the benefit of an open community.
Navigation
I see that there are many pointers of information that still seem to have generic Steemit components.
My questions are;
- Is there a hive version of Steemd.com?
- Is it the same witness system - where do I see a top 100 list of Hive Witnesses?
- Delegation tools & lookups etc, how to view them, change them and so forth?
Thank you
To all of the developers that took their time to action the change. Thank you.
I know that alot of the motivation may have been personal for whatever reason, but, now there can be a clear split that time will determine which one, or both, made the right decision.
Being a centrist myself, I can see potential in both, there is a corporate reality that may add value to a block chain, or it may just be a carcass left after the vultures finish, or a decentralised platform that gains support, like an avalanche, due to an environment and community that makes people want to be there.
I'm impressed weith the level of communication happening & hope that projects can continue to flourish.
