I photographed this series for Vangardist Magazine's #HIVHEROES issue, back in 2015.
The printed issue was created in a collaboration with Saatchi & Saatchi and was printed with real blood of HIV+ carriers.

This issue won 30 awards worldwide, including:

4 LIA Awards (London International Advertising Awards) 2015
6 EuroBest 2015
3 Pencils D&AD Festival 2016
2 Health Share Award 2016

The profits from this issue go to charity foundations that are fighting the stigma of HIV/AIDS and help and support people to live a normal life with the virus. You can order your copy here.

I am truly honoured to have my work included in this issue and I see it as one of the print highlights of my career.

Philipp Spiegel is one of the blood donors, as well as a personal friend & colleague of mine.
If you happen to be in Vienna, his exhibition Going Viral is showing until the 26th of February.
The exhibition deals with his life with HIV+ in a strong, powerful and painfully beautiful way. I highly recommend a visit!
