It's time for another episode of mini lathe amateur!
For this week's episode, I talk about attempting to set up my new lathe faceplate to be able to hold larger pieces than the 3 inch chuck can hold. I tried to set the faceplate up with an adapter that could be held in the outside jaws of the chuck, but I ran into a problem with one of the outside jaws not fitting properly in the chuck when I swapped out the inside jaws for the outside jaws. After I got that problem sort of worked out, I ended up having too much runout on the faceplate with the adapter held in the ill fitting outside jaws of the chuck.
