Hello, steemies!
Here's another model kit review!
In this review, I'm going to be taking a look at a kit for an HO scale model railroad boxcar. This kit is produced by Accurail. The prototype for this kit is an early 20th century 36 foot boxcar with a steel frame and wood sides and ends. These cars had metal side bracing that the wood was fastened to. The prototype car was known as a "Fowler" type boxcar. Production on the prototype cars began in 1908, and by 1915, over 75,000 of this type of boxcar had been built. Many of these boxcars stayed in dervice into the 1950s.
This particular kit that I did the review on is painted and lettered for the Chicago & North Western.
I hope you find this railroad model kit review interesting!
