Light blue or violate Crocus flower produced in garden. This is a garden variety of Crocus not producing any spice Saffron. The spice saffron is obtained from the stigmas of Crocus sativus, an autumn-blooming species. Crocuses are native to alpine Tundra in central and southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, Central Asia to Western China. Around 90 types of Crocus have been found across the world which are mostly used to decorate the gardens.
