There is a beautiful thing in giving and the fact that we have created entire holidays around it is something that warms my soul. Halloween is of course about the costumes and scary things, but the gifting of candy is probably the most important part. It allows kids to be gifted bags and bags of wonderful sugary sweetness, and to experience the joy of giving themselves when they hand it out at their own homes. There is something so pure in the eyes of a child enjoying a candy treat, I remember the feeling myself like it was yesterday, what a wonderful nostalgia.
