One shall be judged by the standards to that one holds others

Today we have the best story of virtue signalling in a long time. Asia Argento, a leading voice in the #metoo movement apparently sexually assaulted a minor herself
Quite the hypocrisy.

But I am actually not puzzled by this at all. People that push themselves into the front row and end up as stars or celebrities are quite often narcissist. All their actions serve one goal only, promoting their private agenda for power and attention without respect for anybody else.

When she had the chance to assault another actors sexually, she did. When Weinstein could assault her, he did. When she saw the opportune moment to benefit she let Weinstein run into the knife.

The Boy, probably is not that different. His career was not going that well, so generate a bit extra publicity through this story.

I honestly dont care who fucks whom in hollywood. But what is important to learn is that we should never trust anybody, the very least a public figure. How many good people outraged by sexism followed Argento, that portrayed herself as one of them? While she was at the same time paying 380,000$ to silence her own victim.

When you put trust in public figures, you only beg to be abused and exploited by them. The only person they have in mind is themselves. And this does not only hold for hollywood, probably more than 80% of politicians are also narcissists.

The reasons are simple. Narcissists are more likely to try run for a position of power and the selection within the party system heavily favours narcissists.

There lesson to learn is simple, public figures do not represent values, they are not good people and they do not represent us. They just like the power and attention. The last thing we should do is give them any power.
