Bible study: "This means that God's holy people must endure persecution patiently"

The book of the apocalypse is the last book of the new testament, its authorship is attributed to the apostle John. In the book, John was caught up in the spirit and the visions of him that are considered about the near future, speak to us of the definitive reestablishment of the Kingdom of God among men: "Then I saw ´a new heaven and a new earth´, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God", Revelations 21:1. During the tribulations of the apocalypse, John describes what the patience of the saints consists of: "This means that God's holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus", Revelations 14:12

Perserevance or endurance is the proper spiritual gift of holiness, is the daily determination of doing good avoiding evil, its main characteristic is the resistance to the suffering. Once the love of God has been received, through Gnosis ("No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again", John 3:3), perseverance perfects this love (Agape) in the fruits of the spirit.
Perseverance is what allows the saints to confidently resist persecution, we live in a world ruled by those who live according to the flesh, oppression through deception and lies are the common currency.
The saints with their patience and perseverance must resist the teaching of error, that is, heresies, and keep the commandment of love ("Love your neighbor as yourself", Mark 12:31) until the definitive re-establishment of the Kingdom, in this consist the trust in God.
The book of the apocalypse then gives us a brief but interesting description of what the patience of the saints consists of.
