Store bought baby wipes are expensive and not necessarily made with gentle ingredients. It is super simple and quick to whip up a batch of solution at home. All you need is purified water, olive or almond oil (any vegetable oil that you prefer will do), and a gentle soap like castile (I like Dr. Bronner's). These other ingredients are optional, but highly recommended for a clean, soft baby bum! Also, I urge you to try 100% pure and organic, plant-based products to see the true difference for yourself.
3 cups purified water
1 teaspoon oil
1 tablespoon witch hazel extract
1 teaspoon gentle soap, like Dr. Bronner's
1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
10 drops Grapefruit Seed Extract (or Vitamin E)
4 drops tangerine essential oil
4 drops lavender essential oil
I use Young Living essential oils as they are 100% pure, therapeutic grade, backed with a "Seed to Seal" guarantee, thoroughly tested for purity and quality by a third-party. Also, because they provide awesome discounts and free products with every purchase I make! π²π²
The other products, like the Aloe Vera and Witch Hazel, were purchased through Mountain Rose Herbs, because they cold press without using harsh chemical solvents for extraction.
Pure and simple. That's my goal! β€
I will definitely try it
