Wonderful article! My wife and I both attended Church an public school systems throughout our lives. In high school we both started to realize that most of the information forced on us had no merit in the real world. Over the last couple years we decided to overhaul our parenting techniques and belief on adequate education for our three little ones. We focus more on what they are interested in and use their curiosity as a path for educating them on subjects they enjoy. As for parenting, we treat our kids like adults for the most part and focus on building a relationship based on love and trust instead of fear and obedience. My son (the oldest) is extremely strong willed and by using peaceful parenting I have helping be able to communicate so much better. Don't be afraid to step out of the norm!
