Home schooling through high school is a scary concept to many out there. But it doesn't need to be and here at least in the United States, it is illegal for a business, colleges, the military and other government service jobs to deny someone employment because they were issued a home school diploma. There is even an organization that is totally worth the membership that protects the rights of home schoolers here in the United States it is called the HSLDA you can go here to find out more about what services they offer and what they do if you need legal representation for a home school related legal matter, included in your membership fee, including suing if it comes to that. https://www.hslda.org/about/

If your child is college bound it is important to make sure you cover electives and do volunteer work in the community. Many home school communities have sports teams, academic teams, art clubs, drama clubs the list goes on and on, if your kid has an interest in it, you can find a course on it, or a club for them to join. Even if they are not college bound it isn't a bad idea to expand your child's horizons.
I live in Indiana, where there are many home school organizations one of the biggest is the Indiana Foundation for Home Schooling also known as IFHS they host a home school prom and graduation each year. My daughter participated in that graduation ceremony in 2013.
My middle child went back to Public School for high school, she wanted to and though many home schoolers think I am wrong for this, I think by the time a child is entering high school they should have a say in the place they attend school. She graduated last month, and will be at Purdue in just over a month.
My baby, my son is entering his senior year this coming up fall. I am going to miss home schooling him. I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey home schooling my children. And though it was daunting at first, home schooling through high school is not much different than home schooling younger grades, just a different form to keep track of their progress. And maybe registering on www.collegeboard.org to register, pay and to schedule a location to take the PSATs, SATs and or ACTs. It is a great tool.
Oh one last tidbit, did you know colleges and universities actively recruit home schoolers. They get scholarships just like their public school counter parts, if they apply. Colleges and Universities all over the place recruit home schoolers, because they are self motivated learners.
