HOW TO CATCH A PIG: DIY Pig Catch Pen or Pig Corral - American Guinea Hogs

Our DIY Pig Catch Pen or DIY Pig Corral. No matter whatcha call it, we need a way to catch and separate pigs here on the farm!

We are about to have our 1st ever american Guinea Hog processed & we need a way to be able to corral or catch pigs & separate them & also load them onto the trailer, so we can take them to the processor.

And so this is the catch pen idea that I came up with. The pig corral is made from typical 16ft Hog Panels that I cut in half & made a 8x8 pig corral or catch pen, with a 5ft opening for access to the trailer for easy loading.

I drove in several tpost to hold up the panels & then placed 2 t-post the width or thickness of the hog panels and basically made a sliding gate, so when a pig or pigs come in the catch pen, I can slide the gate closed, and then they cannot go back out into the real pig pen.

I am hoping this really works, and we shall see if the DIY hog catch pen works in a couple of weeks!!
