MOREL MUSHROOMS

KIMG3197.JPG

These suckers are delicious and healthy! Every year we hunt them in the early spring. But this is the first year we are able to hunt them at the homestead because we didn't own it last year during the mushroom season. But, it's still early in the season and we have already found quite a few.

*So far I have mainly found larger ones, not many small ones.

Can you see the 3 mushrooms in the picture below? Let me know where they are in the comments below and I'll have a surprise for you.

*Good luck finding them.😁(the block chain makes my pictures look hideous.)

AT THE END OF THE DAY

We had a nice little selection. They are currently in the dehydrator. I'm going to partially dry them and then put the jerky I'm about to make on the top shelves above the mushrooms. This will let my marinade drip down onto the mushrooms as they finish up drying. I'm thinking they will be delicious!!!

AND A SHORT PIECE OF OFF SUBJECT NEWS....

I started on the chicken coop yesterday and got almost everything done except the doors.

I'll be doing a post on that project shortly. I enjoyed it because I got to repurpose quite a bit of stuff during construction.

Thanks as always friends! We do truly love and appreciate the amazing support and love you all share. I am out for now but until next time spread a little love a bunch of hugs!(Covid be damned!😁)🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
