Morel mushrooms grow from ashes like a phoenix. You MUST use ash or burnt wood to grow this rare edible mushroom. Here is my fireplace that keeps me warm during the winter.
This is the ash that I will spread into my vegetable garden. USE A FACE MASK IF YOU SPREAD ASH.
I soaked some dried Morel Mushrooms in chlorine/fluoride free water for around 40 min. Mushroom Spores MUST soak in water to activate. Remember: spores + water = Activated spores.
Morel Spores are YELLOW. The water turned a beautiful golden hue.
Here we are in the Morel Mushroom Garden...There go the Activated Morel Spores!!!
...There goes the ash from the fireplace!
Okay everyone! Hope you learned something about Growing Morels today! You could use this post as a guide for growing. Just perform these steps during the fall. Water the ground well beforehand. Add peat moss and honey. BOOM. Rare Mushrooms. Good luck for any growers who try and remember: WEAR A FACE MASK. Stay tuned because small flushes of Morels during the fall are possible! Stay Safe.
