How to cultivate Santigi

in homesteading •  7 years ago

Many people think that Santigi is difficult to cultivate. This is not the case. Santigi is very easy to cultivate, of course with intensive care is not arbitrary.

Santigi can be propagated by grafting, cuttings, and seedling from seed.

How to grafting Santigi is no different from how to transplant other plants. Here are the steps:

1. Peel the skin Stem / branch to be grafted

2. Clean / leave for 2 s.d. 3 days for dry cambium

3. Wrap using planting & plastic media. Good planting medium is cocopeat (coconut fiber that has been finely ground)

4. Plastic holes on the top & bottom during the dry season, so easy to water if the media dry. Pretty hole by piercing with needle.

5. Usually within a week's plasticity roots. Can harvest in 3 Weeks.

Here is included photo of Santigi grafts 2 weeks age (during the rainy season)
