How to: 13 steps to becoming an URBAN HOMESTEADER

Awesome post! I live in chicago and currently am getting all the materials together to grow microgreens for myself.
A method I have been using to reduce consumption is simple and cool: I put all of my clothes on the hanging bar backwards. In a month or so I will easily be able to see what things I don't use and I can donate them!

Really cool, the homegrown herbs really add an extra dimension to cooking...
And the clothes trick is neat, will have to try it myself

I may just make an urban homesteading post soon. You've inspired me, although I feel like I can always do more to reduce my footprint it's satisfying to make small progress.

try out chainBB for the homesteading post, there is a specific homesteading community there

and for the footprint, I guess we just have to realise that every small bit helps if everyone would do it
