The Daddykirbs Garden is under contruction (still and again). The old wooden raised beds are about to expire, so I'm working to update those structures. Also there was a round brick bed in the very center of the garden that was removed to make way for this very good Greenstalk Garden.
The Greenstalk Garden is a very well designed vertical (stackable) garden. In this 5 tier example here in my garden there are 30 deep growing pockets (6 per tier). Last night when I put this together I had my daughter @maggiegrace to shoot some video of that. You'll get to see that here on Steemit here soon. I'll save the mystery of what was planted in it for that post!
Notice to the left of the Greenstalk there are a couple of plants that appear to be doing really well. Those are the Daikon Radish. They are about to flower. I could harvest the Radish now, but I like to leave them long enough for the bees to enjoy the flowers first.
There was a lot of other work done in the garden this weekend too like pruning and repotting baby Lemon trees. Yes, I did video of that too LOL. I just need to get all that video edited and uploaded. The Figs were pruned and moved out of the greenhouse. So far the Chaya is still in the greenhouse, but those will be pulled out soon too. When those come out they will be trimmed up, then I can propagate more.
Sharing to show someone getting it done!

We had a big of a cold spell here in the PNW. I too am anxious to get my garden goin but it’s 18* this morning so it’s still a little cold yet. Though a couple weeks ago it was 65*. Weird?!? I plan on making some strawberry boxes that mount on my fence. Kind of a space saver/ back saver. I think they should work great.
That greenstalk planter is a super cool idea maybe grow a bunch of herbs in it. I gotta get me one or maybe I will just make one 😉

The only thing outside I have done is cover the garden in hay. The season is coming though. Good Luck to you!

I'm very interested in your vertical structure. Is that something that you made...or did you purchase it? Something like that would really help with the bunny feasting that happens in my yard.

Not yet, still been pretty cold here in IL. I have some seeds started inside but need to get the raised beds done before I have to direct sow!

Not yet here in northern Indiana. Am chomping at the bit to get indoor starts going. Probably two more weeks... Sigh.
I had forgotten Dikon radishes get that big. The bees will love those flowers!

Great post! It'll still be a while before I can start my garden up again, but am itching to get out there! I wrote a post today about my terrace vegetable garden from last year and I'll be posting my progress on my Steemit blog when I start up again this year. Feel free to check it out!
In the meantime, looking forward to living vicariously through you. Followed. :-)
