SNOW IN TEXAS! I Could Build A Snowman - SPECIAL EPISODE

in homesteading •  7 years ago

This hasn't happened for 30 years!

Snow like this is very rare in Texas!

Here's the video that I recorded last night while the snow was falling. It was totally impromptu shot in one take on my Galaxy S6 phone. It is a little different than most of my videos. Enjoy this beautiful moment!

This morning I shot some video of the snow in the daylight so you can see the farm covered in snow. It truly is a beautiful moment. When that video is ready I'll share it here too (My internet is very slow to upload), but for now you can see a couple of photos :)

Thank you for sharing this time with me!

Did you say you have not seeing snow like that since you lived in Indiana? How long have you lived in Texas? Oh and I laughed a little when I saw mamakirbs waving to you from the nice warm and dry house! No snow here in Central IL...I don't think it is supposed to work that way, as in you getting snow in Texas but nothing here!!

I've been in TX for 19 years now.

Excellent pics! Nice! Snowing just above me in the ATL at present also! Not a week ago it was 70 + degrees........... hello winter :)

Hello Winter indeed!

Woah, that is a lot of snow!! I could barely even see in your video because that snow was coming down so HARD!!! How did you handle so much snow coming down at once and with all that weight of the snow on your roof how did your house not simply collapse?!?!

I sense the sarcasm

Now that is indeed backwards. We've barely had a dusting* of snow so far here in the NW corner of Indiana and you're getting accumulations! Hope the gardens are unscathed.

*I could regret those words. I heard someone say something about 'lake effect' for our area - meaning we could get dumped on soon. We'll see...
