Just because I'm back from vacation doesn't mean I've been away from the gardens. In fact, we just had a visit from the local garden club on Saturday, which went very well! I'll take photos of the rest of the gardens, in all their polished glory, later, but here is a selection of photos of the vegetable beds. Above is the potatoes, adirondack reds on the left, and russets on the right, with some bush beans in the middle.

These are blue lake pole beans on the right, and sugar snap peas on the left that are nearly through producing. There are yellow bush beans between, and a bunch of mint surrounding.

These are some jamaican burr cucumbers, with tomatoes on the left, and some nicotiana in the front.

These are tomatoes.

This is romaine lettuce, with some pak choi that went to flower. It's good for the bees at least.

Here is the squash cage, with butternuts in the middle, cucumbers on the left and pole beans to the right. Hopefully we can keep the squash out of the rest of the garden.

This bed has strawberries, some swiss chard, and some dandelions. We grew them from seed. They're huge!

Here are some hot peppers, bell peppers, eggplant and marigolds.

These are turnips and my carrots that aren't doing so well. And some tomatoes.

These are zucchini and some cucumbers hiding behind.

This is the asparagus bed.

These are peanuts in front and arugula in the back, as a shield to the woodchucks.

And finally is the last bed, where there are tomatoes, and now some patty pan squash. There were a bunch of cilantro plants here that seeded from last year. They were passed and we saved the seeds for next year! As you do.

I hope you enjoy my garden updates. Let me know what you think!
