Well yesterday I loaded up my boys and their grandma and headed out to my little brothers farm. Lo and behold his wife is now blogging on steemit everyday as @tanglebranch

This girl kept following me around.
Something new since our last visit, a barn! It needs some ground built up inside and aound before spring lambing season.
Today we'll be pounding in some fence posts, but first we need the tractor running. Yep, this is the unit thats in service here. This old Massy 44 will only start with a pull-pickup truck to the rescue!

Animals are different on the farm. These two are just playing, but theres a fine line between life and death out here.
Don't they just look adorable yummy!
Now the exciting part. I should know better. But sometimes my inner gearhead gets the best of me. While trying to bring an old car back to life by pouring gasoline down the carbeuretor there was a backfire. The fuel can I was holding caught fire, my arm caught fire and the ground was on fire!
STOP, DROP AND ROLL.
Little brother sprang to action and swated out the flames on me, then we quickly stomped out the grass fire. It's a good thing it rained earlier otherwise there would have been big problems.
My jacket is burned, and my hair and eyebrows are singed.
Too bad my silly white hat survived.
The last task for the day was to plant garlic.

The sun has just set, and this little sliver of a moon is just about to disapear. It's going to be a long dark drive home.

Scary, I have actually seen my husband do the same thing with a carburetor, So glad you are well. ;) I also just adore our donkey and he does one heck of a job..always finding skulls of all kinds of predator critters. Such great pictures..so clear! Such great pictures..so clear!

Life on your brother's farm is making memories for your kids. I know I can still remember learning how to drive a tractor and shingle a roof - because there is no such thing as man/woman work on a farm!

I didn't realise the photo only shows 3 legs. The donkey does have 4 legs. Its very tame until some other animal attacks the sheep.
