Fungi Friday: cup fungi

Found this curious-looking fungi in my back yard area. I think it is Peziza Badia, but I could be wrong.

Looks like those ear mushrooms (Auricularia auricula-judae). But those grow on trees.

This is wacky! I've never seen this shape before. It is surrounding a mulberry sapling but not on the actual tree.

Very interesting, I live in Upstate NY and am always finding unusual fungi in the forest. Nature is amazing! Enjoy your day @elhoogesteger.
