That book, and author, is a must-have in any homesteading library.
And yes, some of the advice in there WILL change your life.

I can't count the number of times I have referenced something out of the pages.

YOU'RE in Michigan too???? Awesome! Another urban (or as I refer to it as rurban) homesteader! Just saw the DNR sign!

    Yes Yep, Michigan born and raised! I am in South-East Michigan (The Metro-Detroit Area). You are right, this book is a MUST for anyone into the homesteading lifestyle, or just life in general! The sheer amount of knowledge it contains is amazing!

      lol- me too. Born and raised. Started my life in Warren, moved to (the thumb)Tuscola County... now in Lapeer County (now I'm a southern thumb gal)... So yeah, s/e Michigan most of my life.

      This book will never go out of style. All the information is for generations to come.
