Calendula - 1st harvest crop June 2019.jpg

On June 26th I found volunteer calendula in both veg gardens and so I started harvesting it to dehydrate. If I can stay on top of the flowers, it will get larger and produce more flowers.

To fill the dehydrator I cut catmint that day also.

Dehydrater - chamomile, fairy roses, damascus roses, dill, marigolds crop July 2019.jpg

I did some other dehydrating, mostly roses before I collected this batch on July 1st. There’s German chamomile, 7 Sisters fairy roses, Dasmascus roses, and dill. I also harvested flowers off French marigolds. (They are under the chamomile.) The rugosas have finished for the year.

This week I’ve not run the dehydrators as the temps are in the 90’s. It’s to cool down in a couple days and I will load them again.
