On Friday I had washed and ironed the Christmas linens and on Saturday I put the last of the Christmas stuff away. I only have the outside tree to pack up and put away.

We left early to go to the local Farmers’ Market. This will be the first time this year. I was dismayed to see less than half the vendors normally here. But the one I wanted to buy from was there, Winter Moon.

I got a couple of each of their brightly colored root crops to use on the layers’ mirror wreaths. This keeps the hens occupied when they can’t get outside due to snow.

More about making chicken mirror wreaths here: and here.

I’d noticed the asparagus fern in the bathroom had a red berry on it. It may have had a flower earlier, I can’t remember.

A friend loaned me their copy of Downton Abbey. I’d never seen it and spent the afternoon watching Season 1.

Sunday I am going to the gym in the morning, to see how bad a weekend morning is for crowding. I can’t go on Monday, my usual day, as my husband is off deepsea fishing again.
