Thanks for the support. I'll be ramping up the original content sometime toward the end of July ... So please stand by....

I tend to keep my stuff in zip locks bags inside the can, be it plastic or metal (not sure that would have made a difference, between the seal fail and the weight of the water probably deforming the plastic and defeating the barrier). Cool test though. I hope you were able to salvage some on that aquatic ammo. Price diff on metal vs plastic is negligible so it looks like Metal it is for me. Were you able to clean up the metal cans and make them serviceable again (non aquatic)? Maybe a water proof paint can be applied? Anyone any ideas?

Great questions. I am not Mike Adams, but I do know the answer to your question about the ammo cans. Yes, they can be cleaned up and reused because that was only surface rust. There were no pin holes or oxidation in or around the seal and the clasp was still intact.... Personally I'd repaint the cans with marine paint which would make them withstand exposure to wet conditions even better.....

By the way, your idea of ziplock bags it in harmony with my thinking of redundancy ... Yes, I would have nested inside the box another box and/or a sealed plastic bag... That's what I do with my ammo: I seal all my ammo in storage bags which have a valve so the air can be pumped out....

Great comment! Thanks...

Great to find preppers on here.......keep them coming. Currently living off grid up a mountain in Spain, but looked to maybe move to north east California before tSHtF.....where are you based amigo?

Thanks for your comment. I live in the U.S. and I'll be introducing myself on Seemit sometime toward the end of July. I'll be offering a free, comprehensive Prepper course here on Steemit. I think people will like it because it's based on over 50 years of actual experience... Please stay tuned...

Looking forward to seeing more of your posts, thanks for sharing!!
