Lightning struck a tree on the edge of our property.

The last few days we've had some pretty intense thunderstorms pass through our area of the Ozarks. This is actually the 2nd lightning strike I've experienced in the two years I've been living on the mountain where I'm at.

During the storm the other night I was in the kitchen when the bolt hit. It was so close and so loud we thought it struck one of the trees outside the house. The first thing I thought was that it struck right outside the kitchen window. Amazingly enough we didn't lose power. It was a bright flash and the sound of a poping explosion. Thunder so loud it makes your body convulse for a moment like you are experiencing a short seizure. It sure shook the Hell out of me that was for sure. I love storms!!!

When the storm died down I immediately went out to investigate the property around the house looking for a tree that had been struck. I didn't find any signs of a lightning strike. Sure enough that was because it struck a tree directly across from our pond on the end of our property. I want to estimate that the tree and pond are 500 to 600 feet away from the house. So it took us a few days before we finally found where that lightning hit.

As you can see the bolt blew apart the top section of the tree bringing down this big branch.

The bolt split the trunk of the tree all the way down the middle.

The other side. You can see the crack going all the way down.

There was no stripe like you would normally see going all the way down the tree. It was like the bolt hit the top of the tree and then just came down striking the center of the tree where both halves came together splitting the trunk in half like so. Crazy shit! I love nature! Amazing how lightning bolts are so powerful they can split the trunk of a mighty oak tree in half like this. I'm sure this tree will be dead now in a few weeks.

As always I'm Theo aka Rainbow Man and here is the PROOF!!!

Do you remember the movie sweet home Alabama?
That guy set rods on the beach and dug out the glass it made.

Im told there may be geodes under those trees,..

Gonna put up some lightning rods? Hell i would

We don't know yet. According to Grandma, lightning has struck the property several times in the 40 years she has lived here. We have a few trees closer to the house that were struck years ago. In fact those trees need to come down because they are dead. Including the tree I saw struck by lightning during a storm two summers ago. Grandma said lightning once hit the electric pole blowing up the transformer too. Honestly I plan on putting orgonite all along the perimeter of the property. A lightning rod would be good too.

Yep, kid youre gonna catch lightnin * in rocky coach voice*

Holy shit. That's fucking cool.

Wow lucky dodge that tree saved you good lad hey! 💯🐒

Only once did I encounter a fresh lightning struck tree. We were driving the highway during a torrential rainstorm. Lightning struck to our right and I turned to see a tree afire in huge flames. All I could think was how much energy had to be present to set that fire under all that rain. I can still see that in my mind today, the tree fully on fire at least 7 feet above the ground.

I love storms too, but with an absence of natural weather events I now view them in full wisdom of sinister forces. Don't put up any lightning rods to tempt them. I've heard they can use the ionospheric heaters to bring down a lightning bolt 300 times greater than a natural bolt and it can flash both directions 30 times per second. What you saw was likely one of many as they are experimenting, running drills etc to prepare for Agenda 21 where they'll proclaim "It isn't safe to live in the country anymore".
