Pigs can be a great addition to the Homestead! By recognizing the pigness of the pig you can get so much more then just meat from a pig.
Pigs have plows for noses and will turn over the ground in no time. So instead of needing a tractor to plow a field I get my pigs to do it.
Pigs also produce alot of manure. So along with plowing the field they will fertilize it also.
THANK YOU FOR POPPING BY!!

I am new to pigs so my breed knowledge is limited. I am wondering if they have 2 different daddies or how does one explain the random couple of spotted ones?!
Very, very cute and love the big ears. You are right, there is much to appreciate about pigs!

The mom is half Yorkshire half Hampshire and the dad is half Berkshire half Yorkshire. So the babies come out with different markings from the different breeds.

Pigs are some workers that is for sure. Looks like a little duroc red with spots? Maybe an old spot mix or two? Always like seeing baby hogs on the homestead.
