Ooh yes, we've also had our fair share of Roos who scared the living daylights out of us, and others who were messing with the flock too badly. Overmating, etc. Our freezer is pretty full now, have a lot of meat to get us through the winter, and we are very grateful for them to have fed our family so well. We're looking at having about 18-20 more roosters out of our latest batch of chicks. It sure helps with being sustainable!

Your little chicks are SOOOOOOO cute thank you for including a photo. I'm happy you are in a warmer climate now, you sound very happy and I'm sure your girls are still loving life where they are <3
