Silky Chicks Hatched from Refrigerated Eggs

in homesteading •  6 years ago

While marveling over the cuteness of the chicks, I was apparently suffering from vvs (vertical video syndrome). Nevertheless, our silky hen was broody and didn't have any eggs. Poor thing insisted on sitting on a golf ball. We took 5 her eggs out of the refrigerator, let them get to room temperature, and put them under her. Three of the eggs hatched into the cutest little chicks.

Love,
Marie

Seriously!!! I never knew that eggs could be hatched in the refrigetor

Yeah, it was pretty cool, especially since we haven't had a hen hatch eggs before. Keep in mind, they were only in the refrigerator for less than a week.

Alright thanks

WOW, real cool chicks, ROFLOL! I am surprised they made it, that is impressive! now you can add chicks whenever you need to.
