Well it's been awhile since I've updated everyone on my flock. It's gotten pretty darn cold in Missouri, but everyone seems to be adjusting fine. The hens are still laying eggs, the rooster is as ornery as ever, and the five chicks are growing like weeds. They turned out to be a beautiful white color with black flecks along their neck and wings.
As you can see the ducks still take every opportunity to swim in the pond, despite it freezing over. And best of all.. the chickens turned out to be pretty darn good ice skaters!
I am looking for any recommendations or ingenious ideas to help keep them watered in the winter, without the use of electricity.
Cheers!
I kust love hesring about other people's flovks
