Alberto Locoto Rocoto Pepper Germination & Garden Update – The Container Garden PumpkinsandCats

in homesteading •  7 years ago  (edited)

17 looonnnggg days and the last and hardest seed to germinate has a tap root!!

Finally!

This pepper variety is very rare and can take up to 3 weeks pop. So 17 days in is not bad.

My attempt of these last year failed so I’m really pleased that this year they have been successful. They look to peculiar the seeds and are black and so flat and dry.

The Scores On The Doors Are Now……
The scores are now as follows
Orange Bell 1/2
Sweet Aji 1/2
Alberto Locoto 1/2

Half are germinated but one of every variety. Got nothing to complain about. I am going to give the other seeds another few days up to a week and then I believe waiting anymore will be futile.

The broadbeans are still going strong. I will need to prepare a planter for these soon!
