I started my first cold infusion of the year with olive oil and dried calendula flowers.
It's a very simple process, just take your dry flowers and add olive oil in a jar, and leave it alone for a month or two!
When it's done, the lovely healing properties from the calendula have been added to your olive oil.
After that, I use it to make a lotions and creams and whatever else I can think of. Right now I'm in desperate need of some more lip balm, the winter winds have started early this year.
I can't wait until this infusion is finished!
Very persistant plants those calendula! I have all stages in the garden...from tiny seedlings, to flowering young ones, and all the way to scraggly giants with brown seed heads. Gotta love em!

Yes! I still have some flowering in my yard, everything else has been killed by the frost except the calendula and the kale ;p
