Went to Sell a Mulberry Cutting, Made a Friend

Hey guys, I just got back from meeting up with a man called Bob. He had answered to a Craigslist ad I posted about my selling of mulberry cuttings. He told me about 3-4 months ago that he was interested.

By the time Bob emailed me, I had already sold them all. So I told him I would hold onto his email address for when I had some more. Well I emailed him a couple of days ago and he agreed to meet.

I met him at a Walgreen's parking lot today (you never know who you're going to meet in Craigslist lol) and he brought something for me. He said his daughter brought him two HUGE Mulberry cuttings of a variety that I don't have, and that he wanted to give me one.

I had brought him a cutting of a mulberry in a pot, as well as a huge branch of Katuk and a little Katuk seedling.

We just sat there talking about fruit that we love to eat. It was a good time.

He offered to give me a mulberry cutting, this one had some great fruit on it and it was huge fruit.

So essentially we traded lol, I couldn't charge a guy who did that for me haha. Here are a couple of picture of what he gave me.

Here I am cutting off the leaves of the hardwood cutting Bob gave me. I also took the scissors and peeled the bottom inch of the stem to encourage root growth there

I dug a hole to stick the cutting in, put some good potting soil in mixed with manure, watered it like crazy and then stuck the cutting in

I emailed Bob these pictures to him and he laughed and said "You don't waste time, do you?"

Not when a storm is coming! Cool little story u thought I would share with you guys. I was totally going to tell him about Steemit too but forgot!

Maybe I will one day.
