God is hope and salvation: Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless. Psalm 10:12

The first part of Psalm 10 tells us that we live in a world dominated by evil and perversion, but the second part of the psalm is a song dedicated to the mercy of God, he protects the weak and the orphan and is the source of all justice, those who fear God must trust in him, God is our hope and salvation. As in the Book of Job, the psalmist wonders why God allows the wicked to prosper, while many righteous suffer oppression; but we must understand that the happiness of the wicked is not true and is brief, while true blessings are reserved in due time for those who love wisdom. The Psalm 10 continues with some ideas of Psalm 1, the psalm of the two ways; one of the ideas to which this psalm point is that the sensible man must know how to live with patience.
The Psalm begins explaining to us that the wicked deny God in his heart, and his main motivations are fear and greed:
"He boasts about the craving of his heart;
he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD.
In his pride the wicked man does not seek him;
in all his thoughts there is no room for God." Psalm 10:3-4.
Evil bears the fruit of death and its result is social oppression, particularly towards the weakest in society:
"His mouth is full of lies and threats;
trouble and evil are under his tongue.
He lies in wait near the villages;
from ambush he murders the innocent.
His eyes watch in secret for his victims;
like a lion in cover he lies in wait.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless;
he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net" Psalm 10:7-9.

Then the psalmist delivers a plea to the Lord for his mercy, God does not forget the oppressed:
"Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless.
Why does the wicked man revile God?
Why does he say to himself,
´He won't call me to account´?" Psalm 10:12-13.
The Lord does justice, elevates the oppressed and humbles the proud:
"But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted;
you consider their grief and take it in hand.
The victims commit themselves to you;
you are the helper of the fatherless.
Break the arm of the wicked man;
call the evildoer to account for his wickedness
that would not otherwise be found out" Psalm 10:14-15.
