Curcumin further protects stem cells in the joint against pro-inflammatory cytokines. This makes cartilage maintenance possible.
Rheumatic synovia (which often show hyperplasia) is again given a normal thickness by Curcumin due to a controlled decrease in the number of cells. Because the inflammation also stops, the synovium can then function properly and promote lubrication .
