According to Hindu belief, Shri Krishna ji is known as the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Shri Krishna ji is also known by the names of Vasudev, Kanha, Gopal, and Makhan Chor etc. He was born in Dwarka as the 8th child of Vasudeva and Devaki. Devaki was the sister of Kansa. Shri Krishna ji was born in the jail of Mathura as the 8th child of Devaki and Vasudeva on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha. Which is celebrated today as Janmashtami according to Hindu religion. Due to fear of Kansa, Vasudev ji made the newborn baby cross the Yamuna and reached the place of Nand Baba and Yashoda ji in Gokul, due to which Nand Baba and Yashoda ji were the guardians of Shri Krishna ji.

Kanha ji performed great miracles in his childhood, which was not a matter of the bus of an ordinary child. Among the miracles performed by him, the killing of demons like Rakashi Putna, Kaga Sur, Kaliya Nag, Trishnasur etc. is prominent. After leaving Gokul, he killed his maternal uncle Kansa in Mathura. After establishing the city of Dwarka, he settled his kingdom there. Helped Pandavas in every difficulty of life. When the Mahabharata war took place due to the oppressive policies of the Kauravas, then Shri Krishna ji played the role of the charioteer of Arjuna and when the time came, Arjuna gave the great sermon of the Gita, which became immortal in Kaliyuga for ages. He was killed by the arrow. After him, the details of the kingdom of King Parikshit are found in the Sastras, King Parikshit was the son of Abhimanyu and Uttara. In the Puranas, the beginning of Kali Yuga is considered from his time.

That is why Arjuna was the second person to whom the Gita was preached.

When the war of Mahabharata was over, Sashir, the mortal remains of Korvo, was brought to the palace. There was an atmosphere of mourning all around. Gandhari Atti was mournful. Then Shri Krishna ji went to his palace to console him. Gandhari's anger increased on seeing them. Then she said that you are the main reason behind this war, if you wanted, the war could have ended. You are the reason behind the death of all the sons, that is why I curse you that just as my sons have died due to fighting, in the same way all the Yadavas will also be destroyed by fighting. Shri Krishna ji told Gandhari that if your mind gets peace by giving this curse, then it will be so.

*Mirtu Under The Influence Of Shri Krishna's Curse....

After the end of the war of Mahabharata, Shri Krishna ji came to Dwarka and started living. But after a few years, the effect of the curse was clearly visible. Disputes started in the clan of Yadavs over small matters. Shri Krishna ji had understood that now the time has come for the curse given by Gandhari to be fulfilled. Due to the arrow of a hunter, Shri Krishna ji left his body and the city of Dwarka was absorbed in the ocean.

*Why is Krishna Janmashtami celebrated......

The festival of Janmashtami holds a special place in Hindu religion, on this day all happiness is attained by pleasing Shri Krishna ji with devotion. This festival is also known as Krishna festival. Fasting is observed on this day and worship is also done in temples. The birthday of Lord Shri Krishna is celebrated as Krishna Janmashtami.
