How do I know and understand myself
What is the self
One of the wise men said. About self: (Know yourself ... then you will realize that everything is worthy of knowledge), and here lies the importance of the human soul , and shows its position in which it must be placed, a place in which all the care and attention is concerned, for the soul ages and becomes old and depressed if it is neglected and treated with some cruelty, But if a person surrounded her with concern, happiness would descend upon her, and much good would appear from her.
Inside the person there are internal stimuli that are specific to him, and if he knows and realizes the truth of these stimuli that drive and direct his actions in terms of words and actions, he can exploit these stimuli. To reach the desired goal.
How to know oneself
A person's knowledge of himself requires a careful pause from him, and if he wants to know himself and his capabilities, he must pay attention to several things, including:
Self-confidence : The individual must be confident of himself and his abilities, and that he is a distinct and unique person, who can do many good things for himself and other members of the society in which he lives, and that he is able to do things that many cannot. He influences others in many ways that only him can master.
Freedom of choice in life
The issue of freedom has occupied and remains a pivotal position in modern and contemporary history and occupied many pens of political thought, literature, poetry and philosophy among the various peoples of the earth, albeit in different proportions, with social and cultural contents and backgrounds, and with different historical circumstances. Because of this difference in the historical, cultural and living conditions, the concepts and goals of freedom were characterized by every people or every group.
Freedom, then, is a large vessel, in which each fills what his own interests require, but within this fan of diversity and difference there remains a group of common pillars that give freedom to its human dimension.
The first of these is the freedom of the mind. The mind, as a tool for thinking that distinguished man from other living things, is the source of this human being's humanity. So a person realizes and completes his humanity, to the extent that he opens up thinking horizons for his mind
Unrestricted and unlimited. In order for this mind to take its full extent, it must be freed from a set of restrictions.
How can a person become free if his mind is not freed from the dichotomy of fear and temptation?
Creating a dream: It is good for a person to set himself up dreams and aspirations that he wishes to achieve, and seeks to do so with all of his capabilities and abilities, and it is nice to write this in a book or list in which he collects his dreams and the goal of the wishes that he aspires to.
Taking things simply and giving up thinking and being preoccupied with something all the time: a person may bother himself about a specific issue, give it a lot of time, and begin to hold himself accountable if he was right or wrong in that matter, and begins to blame himself for the actions and actions he committed, in these cases. The best course of action is for a person to take things simply, leave his anxieties aside, and forget the matter. Worrying about not accomplishing something will never pay off, and self-blame will never be good.
A person discovers what he has talents: he sees what talents he excels with and masters them, and the skills here are not intended for the games that many people usually practice, such as swimming or fishing, but rather the skills that have some depth, distinction and exclusivity, such as: the skill of acquiring New friendships, or the ability to make peace among people, or to have the ability to make others feel satisfied with themselves and their abilities, so they relate to him greatly, so it is good for an individual to write and count his qualities, talents and creative abilities, and put them on paper and put them in a place He can see it daily, and continuously, this matter reminds man that he is a wonderful individual, and he knows him the truth of the abilities that he has, so he knows himself well.
Self- interest and allocating a suitable time for it: That is because life’s concerns are many and tiring, and a person may become overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of life and the crowding of successive events, so he no longer cares about himself, his psychological comfort and his spiritual requirements, so he must search from time to time for actions that bring calm and tranquility to himself, as if Set aside time to fish, lay in the sun and read an interesting book, or set aside quiet time for a meal in a romantic small restaurant; Self-interest is important, and self-isolation rejuvenates a person, so it is necessary from time to time.
Knowing the inner motives: Ibrahim al-Feki mentions in his book The Ten Keys to Success that one of the most important ways to know a person himself and his desires in accomplishing things and deeds. It is his knowledge of psychological motives and motives, as their presence is important in making a person work with more enthusiasm and greater energy, unlike the individual who works in his life without internal motives. Where his energy is lacking, and most of his thinking and interest in negative matters only, and success and distinction seldom be his allies. Because his level of performance is clearly deteriorating, and Dennis Wheatley says about this: (The strength of our desires controls our motives, and therefore our actions), and Francis Bacon says: (Man's share is in his hands).
