This tutorial video will show you step by step how to make Google Chrome use google.com as default search engine instead of a country specific version (e.g., google.co.uk, google.ca, google.com.au, etc.).
In the URL field, you will need to enter the following URL: https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&pws=0&gl=us&gws_rd=cr
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click on the options button (top right).
- Click on 'Settings'.
- Click on 'Manage search engines'.
- Click on the 'Add' button.
- In the 'Search engine field', you type 'Google NCR'.
- In the 'Keyword' field, you type 'google ncr'.
- In the 'URL' field, you type (or copy and paste) the following URL: https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&pws=0&gl=us&gws_rd=cr
- Click on the 'Add' button.
- Click on the options button (3 dots) located next to the new search engine.
- Click on 'Make default'.
