This weekend I spent around 4 hours editing 20+ minutes of video footage from my trip to Jamaica last month on VSDC.
I figured out how to do some basic editing and some fun stuff, but I keep running into these issues.
- the preview of my video sucks no matter what quality level I try to watch it at (and it takes almost 2 hours to export...)
- even after exporting it at 1080 Full HD, it still pauses and skips in certain areas.
I have no idea what to do with the preview issue, but I made the video only around 11 minutes compared to 17 min and it worked a little better. I just don't understand why I can't make a longer video.
I'm not as tech savvy as I once was... too much new stuff to keep up with... but I know basics. I'm working on a HP i5 core.. any suggestions or help would be awesome.
My next option if I can't resolve this would be to try Davinci Resolve Free... Thanks!!
Sorry I have no idea because I’ve never edited a video before. I’ve been meaning to start learning Shotcut but I’ve been procrastinating it. Shotcut seemed like the best free video editor when I did my research. I want to eventually make videos from short workout clips.

I'll have to look into that one. I'm going to keep researching vsdc to see if I can make it work better but it's always good to have options!
