Everyone has the potential to be creative. It’s what makes humans unique. The issue is that our patterns and ways of thinking create energy blocks within us, preventing our creative energy to flow. Here are just a few things you can do to get that creativity flowing. All it takes is a shift in mindset,.

Stop Making Assumptions

You might not think anything of it, but making assumptions actually prevents creativity. It’s a lazy way of thinking. We don’t want to wait to get all the information we need to come to the right conclusion. The next time you feel yourself coming to a hasty conclusion, wait until you have all the facts instead of assuming.

See Things From Other’s Point Of View

It’s good to be able to see things from other’s point of view. If you always think you’re right, what’s the good in that? Most likely you are not always right. Be respectful of other people and see things from their point of view. It could open up a whole world of creative thinking for you.

Stay Neutral

It’s important to stay neutral. Some people are constantly up and down emotionally and that takes a lot out of a person. Be in control of your emotions. Don’t let your emotions control you. It is a much healthier way to live anyways, and you’ll see a change in your productivity on a daily basis.

Don’t Dwell On The Past

We often let experiences in the past keep us from trying new things in the present. It’s a very limiting way to think, because you could be missing out on some awesome experiences. Don’t let the past define your present. Let it go and move on from those painful experiences.

Just because something turned out one way before, doesn’t mean it’s going to turn out that way again! This will dissolve negative blocks and will allow you to be more creative, since it will allow you to live more in the moment.

Conclusion

I hope you enjoyed these tips on how to get rid of some creative energy blocks. These are just good ways to think and change your mindset in general, and you’ll realize you’ll be a happier person as well.

also stop editing and critiquing.. my muse and I thank you for the post

Self critique is important but it's not good to be super strict on yourself. There should be a balance of self critique and self respect.

Excellent tips for breaking out of that dreaded creator's block. As a blogger, I sometimes have this same problem. It's hard to work, create, write, etc. when your brain won't stop dwelling on things! I am really bad at overanalyzing too, maybe looking at the problem from another's point of view would help that.

Yes. As an online entrepreneur, it's hard to keep the creativity going with all the business aspects involved. For the past few months I've really let my creativity go for music, but I'm getting it back.

I have this problem where I dwell on my failures. I think that its been a hindrance to everything I've tried to do because I haven't changed my mindset. I've always been searching for happiness but then I never make the crucial shift in my mindset and continue to think negative about situations. I definitely needed a reminder!

Yeah. Dwelling on your failures is definitely not a good strategy for success. Instead of dwelling on them, be grateful that you learned from that experience of what not to do! Then the next time a similar experience comes around, you'll know how to do it right.

Very insightful tips right here. I like the practicality of your steps. Many of us stand in our own ways without even recognising it. We blind ourselves and always put the blame on others. You are telling people to take responsibility for their own weaknesses and turn them into strengths. Well put.

Thanks! Yeah. A part of being more creative is accepting responsibility for your own actions. Don't dwell on mistakes, as that will only hinder creativity. Forgive, forget, and move on.

Forgive, forget, move on. Keys to happiness. Thank you.
