High Performance Blockchain (HPB) is what we need today. HPB is a new blockchain architecture, positioned as an easy-to-use, high-performance blockchain platform. I have computer which boots in less than a minute, I have internet connection which can download GBs of data in few mins. If I want to access banking portal and want to do any transaction, I can do that in just couple of mins. But when it comes to performing transaction related to crypto currencies many times I have to wait for hours, and that’s because existing blockchain is not created to handle high number of transactions. When transaction load increases on the existing blockchain, it fails to deliver the high performance. And the worst part is its not easy to upgrade, modify the features of existing blockchain. Low transaction speeds and excessive latency plague blockchain networks around the World and because of this many business is not keen to adopt this blockchain technology. So, what’s the solution. Like I said at the start, we need new blockchain solution with advance features, which can support todays as well as future need.
HPB, team started working on the solution which can deliver the high performance, which can support 1 million transactions per seconds. This target looks very high if we look at the TPS of current blockchain which is in just two digits. Bitcoin not even supporting two-digit TPS. So, HPB aiming very high TPS, which seems very difficult for now? Well, we need blockchain solution which supports these many transactions, because if they target few thousands, we might be able to solve todays problem, but in future we will again face performance issue. So, targeting 1 million TPS is fine, but how they are going to achieve it?
HPB came up with hardware and software model. The software architecture provides accounts, identity and authorization management, policy management and will have many other features. With combination of accelerated hardware HPB targeting the 1 million transactions. HPB created a new technological innovation called Blockchain Offload Engine (BOE), its their own technology and they mentioned BOE as heterogeneous processing system, which includes hardware, firmware, and corresponding matching software.
In their whitepaper they mentioned that they HPB aims to become the standard for all major business applications in industries that require handling of billions of data points with extremely low latency. If they manage to achieve 1 million TPS then I am sure business will adopt the HPB solution. But they are not alone who trying to improve blockchain performance, there are few other players how are trying to do so. But I think HPB’s hardware plus software solution will have upper hand and we don’t have to wait for long time if they stick to the roadmap. As per the roadmap, within a year we should see HPB’s final version online.
HPB Bounty Program Token Distribution – Update
HPB recently started bounty program and they have received huge response to this bounty program and the bounty limit was reached faster than expected. Now since bounty program is reached the target, participants will be expecting their rewards, don’t worry HPB team already reviewed all the content created by the community and they have allocated the points accordingly.
This is what HPB team have updated at their Facebook page -
Our wallet app will be launched on 10 September 2018 and our MainNet will go-live on 24 September.
After our official HPB wallet is released, you will be able to map the ERC20 wallet address used for the bounty campaign to our new HPB Wallet. The HPB wallet address will be identical to your current ERC20 wallet address. After this conversion, the HPB Foundation will deposit your bounty tokens into your HPB wallet.
Now everyone will be interested in knowing how to do the mapping to claim the HPB bounty using the HPB Wallet. HPB team promised to provide the step by step instruction on how to do the mapping to claim the HPB bounty using the HPB Wallet in the coming weeks. All you need to do is to keep visiting HPBs social media channels.
