1-Trim your subject line

Mobile devices hardly offer any space to display the subject lines. Some email clients display it, and some don’t. If you don’t want to cut the same, then you should be keeping it the short. The subject line should not exceed 40 cases. You may also try to keep the most important phrases in these first 40 characters.

2-Make use of single column template

In a mobile device screen, multiple columns may be very confusing to navigate. When you have a single column, it makes your email mobile friendly even when it is viewed with different mail clients. With single columns the design is simple, and your content is always in the spotlight.

3-600 px width is good

Almost all mobile device is capable of handling responsive designs, but there may be certain challenges as well. When you keep the email width as 600px, the users may not have any problems in viewing the emails. You might have to use the CSS width property to make these adjustments.

4-Make use of large fonts

The 10px fonts that you might have been using are good for desktops. But when such font is opened in the small screen, the small fonts become even smaller. And that is where you risk your emails getting deleted. Instead, when you go for a font size of 13 or 14px, it makes your emails far more readable on the small screen. You can choose larger fonts, and it will make the emails easier to read on desktops and the mobile devices.

5-The mail should have a call to action

With its presence, the email recipients may do something. The user should be able to use it easily, to this end you should keep the call-to-action at 40px square.

In The End

With any HTML email design, your priority should be the reader’s experience and make sure to test in different mobile devices.
