The positive way of flagging a post

If you want to flag a post, human flag style then look no further. It takes a bit of practice to get right but once done correctly you can do all kinds of transitions and shapes. You may have seen this move before from dancers, aerial artists and strippers. It takes some upper body strength but not as much as you would think.

• A prerequisite is a handstand on the floor, it doesn't need to be held for long maybe a couple of seconds
• Another prerequisite is the ability to hang from a bar as if you are about to do a pull up

Now that you have both of these, keep them in mind. To perform a flag on a post you will need to pull with the highest hand while at the same time pushing on the other hand. This is why you need some strength to push on handstand, and pull or hang from a pull up. It will take you a few goes and you may find that facing one direction may be easier than the other, i.e you have a stronger push on one arm or stronger pull on another arm.
