A Neuron is a type of cell in your brain and nervous system that helps send and receive signals. Neurons are like tiny messengers that communicate with each other to help your body and brain work properly. Each neuron has a cell body, dendrites, and an axon. The dendrites receive signals from other neurons, while the axon sends signals to other neurons. When a signal is strong enough, it travels down the axon and causes the neuron to release chemicals called neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters can then bind to receptors on other neurons and pass the signal along. This is how information is processed and transmitted throughout your nervous system.
