When You Post A Profound Thought, Then You See The Typo... and it’s too late

I had a humbling experience via twitter, yesterday.

I was having an epiphany. 💡 I was sounding smart.
I was conversing about smart things with a smart man who I was impressing. I thought.

So the person I was talking with, in publicly visible tweets, is sort of an expert in certain cryptocurrencies - and I had asked a few questions about the technology.

In reply he joked that he should be asking ME the questions, and that he could see that I know a lot about Crypto.

So I had this cool thought about the fact that everything I know about crypto I had learned from people much like him.

I decided to tweet my clever realization which would be be both charming and a compliment to the guy at the same time. Plus it would convey the idea that I am a gracious and humble student of life. The tweet was supposed to say:

“I only know what I have been taught. Some of my best educators don’t know they are teachers.”

The thing is, I forgot a word, and it was such a key word that it altered the whole tone of my tweet. It took it from the intended tone of a humble gal, to a tone of a cocky and over confident one.

The missing word was “been”. So it said

“I only know what I have been taught.”
