Super SAF

Definition

This term denotes a serious commitment from someone's need to be SAF. Synonymous with being LIVID, this term captures the essence of SAFNESS that is beyond reason, beyond help, beyond being humane, and beyond purpose.

Common Uses

Usually identifies a severe break in a relationship and if continually used, indicates a willingness of one party to abruptly end the relationship or connection.

Situations

• Breaking up with Boyfriend/Girlfriend
• Breaking up with Business Partner
• Sex Partner seeking to be upgraded to a serious relationship
• Friends seeking to be more intimate
• People talking about a situation that involved you and now your entire social demeanor and status is questionable
• Someone stealing your answers for a quiz, homework, or a test
• Sleeping with your friend's current boyfriend/girlfriend or their -ex
• Texting while Driving
• Texting and walking into a pole
• Jumping the lunch line in high school because you play Sports, got money, or popular
• Spending $400 for your hoop clothes and can’t make a layup, rebound, play D, or do proper breathing
• Getting sloppy drunk, rushing to the dance floor when you hear Electric Slide, and/ot throwing up on other people

Summary

• Attractive to those new in using SAF, this term immediately pops up after someone is deemed SAF. When you're new, SAF is simple - Not SAF, SAF, Super SAF! But as you breathe in our universe longer, you'll realize the infantile simplicity of such labeling and you'll move on to more meaningful and complex architectures of using SAF.

• Its popularity can be traced to its initial outstanding use by Dean (Barkley) and Rob (Brent Barry) during our Strong Hoop Days at L.A. Fitness and those wonderful summer nights at Uncle Burley’s in Tampa, FL (Carrollwood Area) back in 2009 and 2010.

Note 2

• The most recent update to this term has been popularized by Mark Phetprasith (Heroes) because of the Swagger he brings to the term. Instead of coming out and calling someone Super SAF, he prefaces the term with a LOUD and BELLOWING - SUPER - and then he waits a few seconds before saying the word SAF. However, he discovered over time, there was no need to even say the word SAF. So now, he just yells out SUPER and, well, you get the picture. Because of this incredible jump in the evolution of Super SAF, it has become commonplace to just yell SUPER (and hold for a few seconds) and after calming down, lightly whisper the word SAF and if you have the swagger, don’t even say the word SAF.
