You can only wonder about what will happen in the wake of all these natural disasters…. Now everyone might be pissed at me for saying this, but everything in the world is a metaphor. Even catastrophes. These hurricanes are no exception. Just as earthquakes are a metaphor, so are these storms. I mean, perhaps we just need to step back and see what it means for our lives as a whole. For some it meant death (perhaps the harshest result of these natural occurrences). For some it meant monetary devastation. For others it meant a chance to rebuild, on a better foundation. And on the high side it presents a chance to reach out to other people and save them from their own form of peril, whatever that may be. These are all crazy seemingly driven by happenstance, but I can assure you that they are not. Nothing in the universe wastes energy. Neither do the forces of good and evil. Nothing is wasted.
There was a pending circumstance of mass death, so in response 30k people from across the country came in, using any means they could to help within 48 hours. I would say that this is a miracle. I have never heard of people banding together in this number to help do anything since…. Oh I don’t know the million man march? Especially not people who are fundamentally skilled and trained in some sort of utilitarian fashion, other than a blanket ideology. This I would consider an act of the heavens and something I feel supremely blessed to have witnessed. Obviously it touched my heart in a time, where I myself was going through some continued turmoil, so to this effect, I feel like I shared in the pain of the city, if only in a symbolic way. Yes I had friends in the storm, but it really was just a deep calling to try and remember why I love people so much… And this showed me that… I love people because deep down there is a simple want to survive and live a good simple life in all of us. And given impossible situations, humans are driven to create solutions. The most positive form of the masculine archetype I feel… (Yes women exhibit this archetype as well)
Now metaphorically this storm can be linked to unhealthy emotional development. When you have too many toxic emotions, they have to build up somewhere. In this case, they build up in nature, but they are they released, sometimes when you least expect it. Like the lover who just leaves overnight, this hurricane left many people feeling out of luck and fearing for their lives. But this is possibly the greatest opportunity for strength these people will ever see as well. With great calamity comes great opportunity, along with the chance to deal with these toxic societal emotions in a supremely positive way. Obviously we know there is a lot of war industry and blood money type economics working down in Houston…. These things are also karmic pitfalls so to speak… I mean no city is exempt, I’m just saying the locals probably know who butters the bread down there and perhaps it isn’t Saint Nick. Whatever the case, evil cannot live in our society without causing havoc, this is just how it goes… So I hope that people in Houston help in the effort to root out darkness after this event, as I feel it contributed to this situation… I think we can all come together and build a society built on healthy emotional development and outlets… Things I feel that can help would be creativity, doing good deeds, developing a relationship with nature and cultivating a spiritual practice/discipline of one form or another. Something I hope we can all ponder in the wake of this calamity. My favorite quote for this is Muhammed Ali when he said... Muhammad Ali Quotes. "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." Long story short, humanity means the world to me, but when I see people ignoring their internal development, I cringe, because I know what that means for us in the long-term; A more painful path, than is really necessary.. Here’s to hoping we can recreate the culture in a way that lets us express our emotions in a better way in the future…(Yes this means getting rid of the toxic escapist lifestlyes) And to give thanks for not letting this event be the disaster it could have been through sending so many brave people in to help…Thanks everyone for hearing me out... And have a good day...
