One Player Ready Story Turns out to be in line with Millennials Life

The latest film by Steven Spielberg has just been released on March 28, 2018 and adapted from Ernest Cline's book Ready Player One. This film tells the story of a life in a very messy future and the only place where they can find pleasure is OASIS.

This place is in a virtual reality where they can be anything according to what they want. The contest in OASIS also came to find 3 keys so they could get rights over OASIS.

Wade, an orphaned young man trying to change his life to look for these three keys. But, do you know this science fiction movie really reflects the life of millennials generation today


1. OASIS as an overview of social media today


OASIS is a virtual reality world created by someone in the Ready Player One movie. When Wade told about OASIS, he had said that the maker of the OASIS is considered a god. OASIS in reality can now be interpreted as a social media from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and much more.

Its presence is indeed highly adored by many people until some people are very obsessed to take care of their social media accounts thoroughly. In fact, social media can bring various opportunities for a career and earn money. Starting from the existence of the program to the work in the creative agency as Social Media Officer which is in great demand by millenials generation.

So no one, if in the movie Ready Player One, they describe the social media now as OASIS which can also mean as a waters in the hot desert. Exactly the goal with the existence of social media in the present day.


2. The virtual world is more important than the real world


In Ready Player One movie, OASIS can make every character to be anything they want. In the end, the people inside Ready Player One are depicted more often within OASIS.

This is the same as today's millenials who are very concerned about their social media. Starting from thinking of a matching Instagram feed, growing more personality from the real world, and emphasizing the growth of followers. Through social media, anyone can be a person who they want to show and can have a different perception of reality.


3. The end result is to be popular


The competition held in this OASIS point is to be a winner. The end result of the winner will have ownership rights over OASIS and will become mahsyur in Ready Player One's world. Equally, are the millennials now beginning to organize their personality through social media to become famous? By becoming famous, they can earn endorse bids and are considered as influential people in social media.

these points certainly indicate that Ready Player One is relevant to the millenials of today. Hence, this film is very popular and liked by many people.

The appearance of Ready Player One movie is to remind you that life in the real world is more important than in cyberspace.
