The prompt for today is scream and there is just one thing I think of the moment I hear this word so I am going to dive right into this.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream… Yayyy.. Isn’t ice cream just the best? It most certainly is. Whenever someone says scream, I can only think of ice cream. I love, love, love ice cream and I cannot think of how my life would be without ice cream lol. Yes, I absolutely love it. It is one thing that brightens me up whenever I feel low. All of us go through bad and rocky phases and we all have some comfort food we like to indulge in when we feel low. So whenever I am going through one of those days when nothing seems to work for me and nothing does its charm on me, my go-to comfort food is ice cream and man, it does wodners for me within minutes.
I just recalled one of those bad days when ice cream rescued me. It was about 2 years back and I was not feeling well at all. My son was about a year old then and he hadn’t let me sleep for 2 days in a row. He was colicky back then and sleeping through the night was quite a challenge for him, and consequently for me too. So we were both sleep deprived and cranky; plus I had to work as well.
I didn’t feel like working at all. At that time, I worked for a consulting company as a content writer. Faateh became drowsy so I decided to put him to sleep and call in sick to work. I worked for home so calling in sick meant I had to make a call and let them know I couldn’t work today. As soon as I did that, I asked my husband to fetch me a tub of ice cream and then I put on Peppa Pig on Youtube hahaha. Yeah that’s what I did. Within 30 minutes, I felt so much better and then went to sleep.
Ding- time’s up. Reminiscing that memory was definitely fun for me because it involved two of my favorite things- ice cream and peppa pig.
